Our Pawlonia trees are all grown from rootstock at our nursery. Come take a peek at these amazing trees! Seeing is believing! The pictures shown on this site are actual pictures from our Paulownia trees. Paulownias are drought resistant and will grow in almost any soil. Once they are planted, it is best to cut the tree off at the ground to help the roots become acclimated to the new soil. Once the roots are established, you will see the tree start to grow at an unbelivable rate. The trees have to be watered very well during the first few months. Once they are growing and well established, they can tolerate a drier soil. Paulownias grow in zones 5-11 and can tolerate temperatures from -10 to 110 degrees. 6 Weeks 8 Weeks 10 Weeks 13 Weeks 5 Months Copyright by Boggy Gully Gardens. Facts & Tidbits
Paulownia trees are very fast growing trees that make excellent shade
trees. These trees can acutally grow more than 20 feet in the first year,
which makes them fun to actually watch growing.
Paulownia trees are one of the most resilient trees that you could ever plant. The heart of the tree is actually in the roots. What we mean by this is that if something happens to the tree to break it off, the roots will put out a new tree that will grow even faster than the old one. So if the tree is ever cut down, backed over, or damaged in any other way, there will be a new tree that comes up from the stump. As long as the roots are good, the tree is good.
Pictured to the right is a 3-year-old Paulownia tree.
